The Standard French language course for teens and juniors is a general residential French course which mainly serves to learn the 4 competences according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of reference for languages) recommendations: reading, writing, listening to speaking. Learning how to assimilate grammar and conjugation, gaining a richer vocabulary, and training to perceive the sounds of the French language, are the fundamental principles of this residential French course in France. You are also introduced to French culture and civilization which allows you to discover all its subtleties, essential to spend the best residential French language stay possible.
In addition to this French language course for teenagers and juniors, the cooking courses will introduce you to French culinary art and its particularities, thanks to various recipes (dishes and desserts) that you can carry out in small groups, followed, of course, by a meal taken all together with the other participants to taste the prepared dishes.
The cooking workshop is close to our French school in Montpellier. You prepare a starter, a main course, and a dessert, using fresh quality products from the daily market, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. For example, you will learn how to make macarons, peel citrus fruits and remove the segments, cut like a chef, use a piping bag, glaze meat, roast fruits and vegetables, make a syrup, caramel, or hazelnut butter… These cooking classes are designed for all levels and help you improve your skills. The recipes offered are mainly inspired by French cuisine, highlighting its classic dishes. The fresh ingredients come mainly from the Arceaux market, a market well known for local producers.
Students are welcomed in groups of around 12 and cook in teams of 2 or 3 at a workstation, allowing them to practice as much as possible.

Can beginners take part in the Intensive Course?
Yes, absolutely! The Intensive French Course is open to all levels — from complete beginners (A1) to advanced learners (C2).
If you’re a beginner, our teachers will guide you step by step, helping you build a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation while encouraging you to start speaking from day one. The additional afternoon lessons focus on simple oral activities that help you gain confidence and use French in real-life situations right from the start.
Our small class sizes and supportive environment make it easy for beginners to participate, ask questions, and make fast progress in a relaxed, motivating atmosphere.
When can I start the Intensive Course?
You can start the Intensive Course on any Monday, all year round (except for complete beginners, who have specific start dates).
If you’re a beginner, your course will begin on one of the scheduled beginner start dates listed in our calendar. This ensures that everyone in your group starts at the same level and progresses together.
For all other levels, placement is flexible — you can join any Monday after taking our online placement test and an oral assessment on your first day at school. This allows us to place you in a class that best matches your current level and learning goals.

Course description
The standard French course for adults is a French Immersion course for learning general French by acquiring the 4 skills for speaking, writing, listening and reading as according the recommendations from the CEFRL (Common European Framework of reference for languages). The main idea of this French Immersion Program is to practice grammar, tenses, enrich your range of vocabulary and train yourself to recognise French sounds. This is without forgetting initiation to French culture in everything that it represents.
The Standard French language course is combined with cooking classes during which you can discover French culinary art and its particularities by way of trying out different recipes (dishes and desserts) in small groups. You will of course get the chance to taste your cooking at the end of the class and with a nice glasses of local wines. This tasting is included in the price of the French Standard Course plus cooking course price.
In the cooking workshop, located close to our French school in Montpellier, you will have the opportunity to discover French gastronomic culture by preparing a starter, a main course, and a dessert, which will then be enjoyed with a glass of wine. Each session is designed to provide both technical knowledge and new taste experiences. For example, you will learn how to make macarons, peel citrus fruits and remove the segments, cut like a chef, use a piping bag, glaze meat, roast fruits and vegetables, make a syrup, caramel, or hazelnut butter…
These cooking classes are open to anyone who wants to learn or improve their cooking skills. The proposed recipes are mostly inspired by French cuisine, featuring its classic dishes. Fresh ingredients are sourced locally, mainly from the Arceaux market, a well-known market for local producers.
Students are welcomed in groups of around 12 and cook in teams of 2 or 3 at a workstation, allowing them to practice as much as possible.
These workshops offer a friendly and fun way to immerse yourself in French culture while improving your French, with a pedagogical chef, passionate and keen to share.
